Students from Metals Technology program are always in demand and get hired as entry-level or intermediate-level employees. Congratulations to Marleen Dinis for Obtaining $939,140 in Funding for MetroED Under the Strong WorkForce Program
The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO), in partnership with the California Department of Education (CDE), developed the K12 Strong Workforce Program (K12 SWP) as an initiative to provide more middle-skilled workers.
The objective of our SWP project is to increase the number of students who will successfully transition to post-secondary in CTE pathways. By aligning and strengthening a shared vision between SVCTE and community college partner agencies we can generate a K14 pathway that will align and provide services for career pathways success.
This is great news in continuing the amazing work our school and staff do each and every day. Way to go Marleen!
SVAE Toys for Tots
Each year, Toys for Tots donates toys to our Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE) CalWORKS students. This week 20 of our adult education students picked out their own toys for their children. We are so grateful for the abundance of toys that were donated by Toys for Tots for our adult education students to be able to bring the joy of Christmas to their families.
