Superintendent's Message

Hello Alyssa,

CTE Month is officially here! February is my favorite month because MetroED celebrates Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, a national initiative recognizing CTE programs and highlighting CTE teachers and students. On January 19, MetroED Governing Board passed Resolution #08-01-19-22, proclaiming the month of February as Career and Technical Education Month. In addition, the Board saluted the administration, teachers, and students of the Metropolitan Education District and honored their efforts and accomplishments.

As we advance into spring, we look forward to showcasing student work during the SkillsUSA and HOSA competitions throughout February, March, and April. We will also host our Fashion Show in April, and Car Show in May. I am proud that we offer vital CTE programs with strong support that advances students’ knowledge, skills, and career readiness through hands-on training.

This newsletter has highlighted MetroED News, Students In Action, Important Dates, Governing Board Updates, and Employee Opportunities.

Stay safe and well,

Alyssa Lynch

Superintendent
