Superintendent's Message

The new school year is up-and-running and it is an exciting time to be a part of the Metropolitan Education District (MetroED). Programming has expanded in both our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) Center and Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE). It has been energizing and rewarding to see so many fresh faces enter our programs and embark on the next part of their educational journey… both students and teachers alike.

New to SVCTE this fall is the addition of our courses Electrical Vehicles/Automotive Services and Nursing Careers while over at SVAE we now have Dental Assisting, Diesel Technology, General Electrician, and Pharmacy Technician classes.

In this newsletter, you will learn about our CTE Summer Exploration program and our SVAE summer classes. In addition, you'll read about Former Fire Science and Medical Health students who were recognized this summer at Mission College, and so much more.

I look forward to continuing to share our success stories with you all this year! This year at MetroED our theme is: “Be Here. Be You. Belong.
