AVAILABLE TO SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS: ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES
This NATEF/AYES accredited course offers entry-level employment skills for students completing one school year. The program consists of three phases, each taught by ASE certified technicians with many years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience. Classrooms and shops are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and training tools. Industry partners offer input regarding the training needs of today’s entry-level technicians. The program also focuses on career readiness skills that are necessary for the student’s professional development. Job placement opportunities are available to students. A second year of training is available and concentrates on live work and advanced training. SVCTE’s automotive training can lead to other opportunities such as service writing, parts counter person, porter, and parts driver.

About the Instructor
The Automotive Services program is taught by automotive experts Jimmy Walker and Albert Castaneda. Each instructor teaches an eighteen-week portion of the program. Students then rotate to the other instructor specializing in another area of expertise. All Instructors are ASE Certified in the automotive industry.
